The Person We’ll Miss the Most
by The Milton Measure on Friday, June 6th, 2014
The CXX Editorial Board would like to extend our greatest thanks to Mr. Larry Pollans. The time and effort he has invested in our publication in the last fourteen years has been invaluable to our successes. Although Mr. Pollans’ tenure as the Milton Measure’s faculty advisor has come to an end, his insight and wisdom will continue to influence the quality of our future content. During his years on the Measure, Mr. Pollans has taught writers and editors to place a priority on Milton’s motto, “Dare to be True,” by writing articles which reveal essential and honest insights into the Milton community. Elana Golub, a co-editor-in-chief of the CXIX editorial board, commented, “I think people don’t always notice how involved the faculty advisors are in the publishing process… [Mr. Pollans] brought out the best in us both individually and as a team.” Mr. Pollans will certainly be missed as a teacher, a mentor, and a friend to our publication. We would also like to welcome Ms. Matson, our new faculty advisor. We look forward to working with you in the coming year, and we are sure your experience and enthusiasm will greatly benefit this publication!
