The NHL playoffs have been extremely exciting so far. The #5 seed Philadelphia Flyers have played extremely well as they have managed to beat the #4 seed Penguins twice on the road in Pittsburgh and once at home. Flyers, Danny Briere and Claude Giroux, have both been playing incredibly well and the Flyers will be a force to be reckoned with throughout the rest of the playoffs.
Robert O’Gara (I) believes that, “the Flyers have gained enough momentum to reach the eastern conference finals. They will most likely beat the Penguins and neither the Devils nor the Panthers offer enough competition to prevent the Flyers from reaching the conference finals.”
O’Gara continued on to say, “I think that they will meet the Rangers there because the Rangers have more depth on their team than anyone else and they also have the best goal tender in the league. I’m excited to see the Rangers and Flyers face off, but I think that the Rangers will be a tough team to upset.”
The Western Conference has been incredibly unpredictable thus far. The one seeded Canucks are down, 1-3, in a series to the 8 seeded Kings. The seven seeded Sharks are competing with the second seeded Blues.
It really is difficult to say who will make it to the conference final, but I think that the Kings will beat the Canucks in that series and they will lose to the Sharks in the conference semi finals.
The Predators will win their lower half of the bracket and face the Sharks in the western conference finals. That will be an exciting series as well and I look forward to seeing who will make it to the Stanley Cup Finals.
